Venue Accessibility
Exeter Racecourse

Exeter Racecourse offers a range of facilities to enable all racegoers to get the most of their day with us.

We are continually working towards raising standards in visitor facilities and customer care. In order to achieve this, we constantly review all forms of access and strive to demonstrate best practice in the management of our properties, in the services we provide, and towards the people we employ.

Exeter Racecourse carries out access audits to help identify areas where improvements are required and look at solutions to the issues raised. We not only want to comply with relevant legislation but also to go further in providing a top-quality experience for all visitors. We will endeavor to ensure that disabled visitors are not treated any less favourably, and that ‘reasonable adjustments’ are made where appropriate and possible through sensitive and creative solutions.

Where access to certain properties and amenities is not possible for various reasons, alternative services will, wherever possible, be made to assist in overcoming these restrictions.

Training in accessible awareness is carried out by key staff members within the Exeter Racecourse team which will be a continuing process over the coming years.

Additional Information

  • In the event of an emergency visual and audible provisions are in place to inform customers of evacuation. Staff are fully trained and available to provide assistance.
  • Assistance dogs are welcome to attend with their owners without additional charge. We do suggest owners contact the racecourse in advance when booking your tickets so we can advise you on the expected attendance for your event date and the facilities available for yourself and your assistance dog.

If you would like to find out more about the facilities and access at Exeter Racecourse, a Detailed Accessibility Guide has been created by our partner AccessAble and can be viewed here.

Accessible (Blue Badge) parking is available five metres from the main entrance and is allocated on a first come first served basis.

We also have accessible blue badge parking available in our Owners & Trainers car park which is 15 metres away from the entrance and is allocated on a first come first serve basis.

We strongly advise racegoers to arrive early to secure a place in this reserved parking area as once it is full, Blue Badge holders will be parked in alternative locations.
