Market Rasen’s many enclosures ensure racegoers can enjoy their day, whatever their needs may be. Visitors to the County enclosure can enjoy fantastic views of the course, with sloping lawns to the parade ring, not to mention a selection of great bars and restaurants. Tattersalls enclosure, in the heart of the racecourse, includes the parade ring, winners’ enclosure, weighing room and pre-parade ring. All of the enclosure’s food and drink venues come with excellent views of the action.
Families at Market Rasen are well looked after. The family enclosure includes a free crèche at weekends and on Boxing Day, for children between the ages of two and eight, as well as a bouncy castle and other entertainment. Its two picnic car parks offer visitors an alternative view of the racing.
Locality
Market Rasen is a traditional small market town featuring Georgian and Victorian architecture. Little has changed here over the years and the town is an excellent springboard to explore the country during your visit. Golf lovers should check out the town’s par 70, 18-hole course with picturesque, tree-lined fairways. The River Rase, flowing through it, serves as a natural course hazard.
