Haydock Park Racecourse

About Haydock Park

Lying near St Helens, between Liverpool and Manchester, Haydock Park forms part of the backbone of British racing, with top quality flat and jump meetings throughout the year.

The Betfair Chase, held in November, is a season highlight and a signature event for the North West Masters National Hunt Festival, one of the most important new additions to the Jump Racing calendar. The festival runs from April to December and takes in more than 25 fixtures.

This year’s North West Masters will once again involve a celebration on the streets of St. Helens between the racing at Haydock Park on Saturday and at Aintree on Sunday. The weekend, featuring music, performances and concerts, is a celebration for the whole of the North West that confirms Haydock’s reputation for serious sport combined with serious fun.

Facilities
Haydock Park has a variety of enclosures from where racegoers can enjoy the action. The Premier Suite, situated above the County Enclosure in the Centenary Stand, offers relaxed, sophisticated surroundings from where you can enjoy your day’s racing. The suite includes bistro dining, betting facilities and a viewing balcony overlooking the Winning Post.

The popular Country Enclosure, directly opposite the winning post, provides easy access to the Centenary Stand, Tommy Whittle Stand, Colours restaurant and champagne and seafood bar. Ticket holders also have access to the seated and standing viewing areas, as well as the parade ring and winners’ enclosure.

The Tattersalls and Newton enclosures offer more casual viewing with a wide range of bars and food outlets and a children’s play area.

Locality
St Helens has a proud industrial heritage and is currently undergoing an exciting regeneration so there’s plenty for the visitor to see while on a trip to Haydock Park. Highlights include The World of Glass, an award-winning attraction that explores the region’s glassmaking history, and numerous local heritage trails. Sports fans should visit Kowsley Road, home to the Saints Rugby Team.
