About Cheltenham

Nestled on the edge of the Cotswolds, Cheltenham is the epitome of jump racing. Every March, the Cheltenham Festival draws racegoers from across the Continent to watch top quality fields compete for the biggest prizes in jump racing. But Cheltenham isn’t just about the Festival, events take place throughout the year, such as the Hunter Chase evening on 2 May, November’s Paddy power Gold Cup and the traditional New Year’s Day race events.

Facilities
Cheltenham’s facilities are everything you’d expect from a world-class racecourse. Choose to watch the action from either the Centaur or Best Mate enclosure, or from the comfort of a table at the Panoramic restaurant. Along with great views of the racing, the Best Mate enclosure has a Harry Ramsden restaurant, betting shops and bars. The enclosure sits opposite the main stands where top cover bands perform during Festival time. Centaur provides 1,000 additional seats and a big screen to catch all the action on race days. Cheltenham’s most exclusive enclosure, Club, offers racegoers the best viewing, top bars, restaurants and betting areas.

Locality
The Regency town of Cheltenham is one of the Cotswold’s gems and an eternally popular destination for visitors to the region. The spa town’s attractions include Sandford Parks Lido, the Pitville Pump Room and the birthplace of the composer Holst, now a museum. Perhaps the most pleasant way to explore the locale is by train, on the Gloucestershire-Warwick railway, a 20-mile round-trip between the Racecourse and Toddington.
