HEAD GROUNDSPERSON

Kempton Park Racecourse is Europe’s premier floodlit racecourse and home to jump racing’s festive highlight – the King George VI Steeplechase during the William Hill Winter Festival.

There is now an opportunity to join one of the most go-ahead management teams in British racing as Head Groundsperson, a position responsible for developing and enhancing the quality of both our jump racing and all weather tracks.

Kempton Park – which is part of the Jockey Club Racecourses group -seeks a hands-on and enthusiastic team player who can demonstrate a proven record of achievement in turf husbandry and an aptitude for working on the all weather track.

The successful applicant will have financial and budgeting management skills, plus the capability to manage and motivate a team.  An eye for detail is essential, along with the ability to think and plan strategically, communicate at all levels with excellent organisational skills, drive and initiative.  Previous experience of horse racing would be an advantage.  The Head Groundsperson is required to live on the racecourse site where accommodation is provided.
